Introducing the brand new IO In-Ear Monitor Headphones from Campfire Audio. The IO (along with the Comet) represents a push from Campfire to take back some of that sub $300 market that has been mainly dominated by Chi-Fi in the last couple of years. The IO retains Campfire's classic anodized shell and combines with with an absolutely gorgeous garnet red and 24k Gold Plated Screws. Much like the Andromeda, the IO will have heads turning as soon as you enter a room. The IO contains two Balanced Armature Drivers (1 x oversized woofer and 1 x tweeter) to create perfect synergy and create that natural, open top-end that people adore with the more expensive Andromeda.
Refined to Excellence
Ken Ball and his team at Campfire Audio state that the IO went through more iterations and prototypes than any other Campfire Audio headphone as they wanted to absolutely nail it with the IO. Because of this, the Campfire Audio team was able to refine the IO into an expressive earphone with a rich, elegant sound. The IO uses Campfire Audio's Tuned Acoustic Expansion Chamber (T.A.E.C.™) technology to make the IO even better.
Speaking of refinement, people have been very outspoken over the last couple of years about how they feel about the Memory Wire that came with on all Campfire Audio IEM cables and Campfire Audio has definitely been listening. The IO ships with a brand new cable, memory wire free! Instead, Campfire Audio uses a light-weight molded ear hook design to replace the memory wire that results in a lightweight cable that no longer irritates the ears and can be worn all day without comfort being an issue. The updated Andromeda and Polaris also ship with Campfire Audio's new Smoky Jacket Litz Cable. The connectors on the cable are Berylium Copper MMCX which will ensure a better connection between IEM and cable then with past cable iterations.
