Wow, what a huge success! RMAF 2011 experienced significantly increased attendance this year with the overall vibe seeming much more upbeat and energetic both from exhibitors and attendees during all 3 days of this Denver high-end audio event. Head-Fi.org's football field-size 'Can-Jam' headphone space was filled to the brim with superb headphone companies new and old exposing their greatest products to hungry audiophile ears.
[caption id="attachment_2252" align="aligncenter" width="480" caption="CanJam Room"][/caption]Big news included the release of the Audez'e LCD-3 ($1,995), the North American debut of the killer SPL/Phonitor headphone amp line and the introduction of the brand-new Grado PS500 headphones ($595) which HeadRoom had available for listening in our HeadRoom showcase suite in advance of their official release.
[caption id="attachment_2240" align="aligncenter" width="480" caption="Our sales manager Jorge helping an attendee"][/caption]Our friendly HeadRoom team stayed intensely busy for three non-stop days helping listeners enjoy our 12 individual listening stations ranging from entry-level portable iPod rigs to uber high-end Triple-Stack HeadRoom balanced reference systems to the exclusive worldwide introduction of the superb Tektron OTL Tube Headphone Amp from Tektron-Italia, the only of its kind on the planet. Could this frenzy of interest and activity in the headphone firmament signal a tipping point for great sound and awesome headphones breaking through to the masses? Headphones remain the fastest-growing segment of the audio world and, given the massive array of cool new headphone products on display at this years' RMAF, no doubt the best is yet to come. Please look for more RMAF 2011 photos on our HeadRoom Facebook page -- we sure hope to see you there next year!
